I have an HD TCD652 that was grandfathered in to a $6.95 monthly plan that I got a year or so ago from CL. About 6 months ago it started having random pixellation issues so I figured since it was the original hard drive I'd go ahead and swap the hard drive for a 2TB AV-GP drive. Then in Dec I got the dreaded comcast letter so I left it alone having not done the swap. Comcast finally completed that switch a few weeks ago (at least on the 2 or 3 channels I noticed) and I started looking at my options. I found the info about software upgrade to 11.0n on here and called Tivo to request it. I just got the software update 3 days ago and all my channels are back! Since my HD was going to continue to work I decided to do the hard drive upgrade. That went well (at least as far as I can tell at this point.) and I put my new HD into the tivo, double checked all the connections and hooked everything back up and nothing. no lights, no fan, no fun! I did some further looking on here and see the capacitor lists for 6 capacitors but nothing else.
I took a few readings with my multimeter on the outputs and get 0vdc on all of the outputs. I see I am getting 115VAC past the fuse but there's not a lot of info out there other than shotgun repair of the 6 caps. Is that really all there is to replace? None of the caps are obviously bulged but I'd like to get anything else I might need to replace and do it all at once.
Are there any test points that might help me narrow down the area further?
Thanks!
Erik
